How to be a good Christian leader

These days, being able to trust and respect your leader is rare. If you are in a position of leadership then you should ask yourself: How is my relationship with my employees? Do they trust and respect me? If you are not sure, I would like to offer you some advice:
  1. Ask your employees their opinion through an anonymous questionnaire. You can use the following questions:
  • Do I help you in your work?
  • Do I encourage you and praise your work enough?
  • Are you pleased with your working conditions?
  • What do you expect from me?
  • Do you think I have an unforgiving heart?
  • Do I treat all employees equally?
  • Can you trust me?
  • Do you think that I am emotional; rather than objective?
  • Am I disorganized?
  • Is Jesus my role model? Can you see that?
  • Am I a leader who serves?
  • Am I a good listener?
  • Do I value you?
To ask good questions and to listen will benefit you as a leader. Through asking questions, you are able to learn from others. You will participate in the knowledge, opinion and experiences of people and by doing this, you can add this treasure of knowledge to yours. All you need to be able to do this is time to listen to the person in front of you. Listening is a gift and although it may not always be easy, it is honored and it will enrich your life and work.
